Not only is Ghost’s interface a bit tricky to work with, but email updates fall into a weird folder (if you’re using Gmail) and most importantly, you have to pay to use it. And I’m not made of money. And if you’re going to spend money on a subscription to my newsletter, I’m going to ask you to redirect that money to a worthy charity. And if you insist on spending that money on me, I’m going to ask you to redirect that money to my podcast Patreon (especially because Daddy keeps breaking microphones).
All of which is to say, I’m back on Substack until I can find a better/cheaper alternative, or until I come into some extra paper (which I’ll probably use on things other than switching newsletter services). In terms of moral Ls, staying on Substack feels significantly less problematic than…say, having a Spotify subscription or being on Twitter, so…
Anyway, sorry for all the back and forth and for not reading the fine print on Ghost. I saw Mary J and Ne-Yo in concert last week and I want to write about that. So stay tuned for some chat about hateration and holleration in this dancery, I guess.
